The excellent performances by the cast are also what raise this movie well above your ordinary action movie.. Absolutely one of the greatest, most cringe-worthy movies I've ever seen.. The battle sequences [are] suitably intense, especially in the early going, when Li, Lau, and Kaneshiro, low on manpower, rely on wicked-looking traps and ambushes to get the job done..
